Chapter 16 Rewards and Acknoledgement

Alina came in my to my side in such a rush and started checking me up and I became dumbfounded by her sudden actions.

I stopped her and told her that I was fine but she started babbling nonsense over nonsense. Why was she doing that when they barely knew each other and had just met like a week ago. Was she a madwoman.

"Oh you poor little Eva , you must be very traumatized by what you did last night and you even fainted because of that right, don't worry you have been formally acknowledge for completing your first mission,

And a D grade level at that," said Alina as she gently stroked my head while showing her pity towards me as if I had been wronged.

Well I technically did get tricked and What?? it really was a f****** D grade level . That bastard he has to answer to my questions later and I hope I get a nice reward since I almost f****** died.

I massaged my temple slowly and heard a laughing noise, it made me shudder and sent a creepy feeling down my spine.

I looked at the door and saw Nick that was trying to stop his laughter and said," I wish you saw how she butchered the target while grinning like a vicious devil, then you wouldn't be making such assumptions as her being traumatized and pitiable."

Alina was shocked by what she heard and she knew Nick was not type to lie although he did like to joke. She looked at Eva in the eyes as if asking her if it was the truth and Eva only nodded her head slightly.

She then asked, " Well my instincts just kicked in and I ended up torturing them and it was pleasurable."

Alina didn't say anything and only thought that she must have went through a lot to become like this and maybe for the better as she is to be an assassin.

She did not bother continuing thinking about it. The reason she was being nice to Eva was because she reminded her of her daughter.

"Master is looking for you , so get ready and go to his study room", informed Alina in a cheerful tone.

I told them to leave and began getting ready but this time I bathed in normal warm water. I wore whatever was inside the closet and hurried to the study room.

She entered the room and saw that Elias was sitting on the chair with his glasses on and he was looking at the pile of document on his left and he was focusing on reading them intently until his eyes met with mine.

He still had that indifferent look on his face and not a single trace of emotions could be seen on his face. He folded his arm as he put down the paper and grinned as he looked at me. He looked like a man out of a painting. I have to say he really is hot and sexy.

He stood up from the chair , walked near me and said, "You succeeded at completing it. I have to say I was quite surprised that you managed to complete this C grade mission perfectly. And before you start bickering , it was only an F rank mission. But it became D grade because of the count being a dark magician and his chimera pet."

Before I could say anything , he continued, " Your rewards will be sent to your room and you can keep the artifact , it is of no use to me and also your training will start three days from now and I'll personally oversee your training,

So be sure to prepare for your ride to hell." He said in an amused and sarcastic tone. The way he said that made me shudder in fear of what was awaiting me and I could only nod silently as the pressure he was emitting was too much for me.

" Okay", said I while looking calm on the outside despite me shaking with fear on the inside. "So what do you want me to do in those three days."

"Alina will take you to meet the other trainees , so be sure to behave. You can kill them like you did to the count if you find them annoying, he said with a smirk," I'll give you that much freedom and you will continue to use your current room since you will be trained as my heir ,so don't break down as I don't need people that are emotionally or mentally weak."

"I understand, I will listen to you" ,said I in an obedient tone. Well I technically I'm grateful towards me even if he did shove me in a dangerous mission as he is my savior.

So it's only fair that I become loyal and faithful towards him and to be truthful I trust him a little bit but I will have to go through the battle of being his sole interior since there are other candidates for it.

I talked to him a bit more about the details of the battle between candidates and he told me it will begin in five years thus I must prepare myself and become strong enough by the time.

He also told me that I would be trained in swordsmanship, spearmanship, archery and with other weapons.

I will also be tested if I can learn magic if I have an affinity for it. He also gave me full access to the library. And I think that he has a lot of expectations towards me so I'm gonna prove him right.

I went back to my room and then heard a notification.

• Do 20 push ups

• Do 20 sit ups

• Run for 2 kilometers

• Read a book for 20 minutes

• Jump 20 times

Reward: 5 SP + 20 EXP

Penalty: You will experience an excruciating pain for 2 hours

[The difficulty level will rise as master gets used to the current quest.]

'Okay. System earlier I wanted to ask you how do I gain EXP. Is it only by defying fate and completing quests or are there other ways like does killing counts.'

I asked the system some other random questions and it answered to some and some not. After I was finished with the conversation ,I completed the daily quest on my way to the training grounds where Alina will show me around.
