Chapter Sixteen Marcus’s cell phone was ringing again, but he ignored it. He couldn’t remember the last time he’d had such a dark cloud hanging heavy over him, having him snapping at everyone. He parked in front of a pawn shop in the center of town and took in the car parked next to him, which looked an awful lot like Harold’s Kia. He stepped out of his sheriff’s cruiser and spotted Harold’s cruiser parked on the other side of the Kia.
