"Bye Tori." I shut Victoria's car door jogging to the steps porch. Victoria reverses her green Volkwagen Mirco-Bus out of my driveway waving at me driving down the road.
I take out the house keys and unlock the door before walking in. I live with my mom, my dad died when I was seven years old from a heart failure.
My parents were hippies which is why I was given the name Willow. They decided on it beacause my they met under a willow tree.
My father was a black man from South Africa and my mom is a white American woman. They met after my dad moved to America to study law and hit it off the minute they met.
My parents were madly in love. My dad always looked at my mom with so much love and gentleness, it was nearly unbelievable and so romantic. She used to blush like a schoolgirl when he complimented her or sneaked kisses here and there.
When my father passed away it was a difficult time for me and my mom, we supported each other for a year grieving. Then we packed our bags and moved here to the town known as Green Valley when my mother got a new job as a nurse.
That's when I met Victoria, Bonnie and Zenith. We have been joint at the hips since then.
I shut the door behind me locking it. I walk to the kitchen to see Karmo, my black cat sitting on the kitchen counter. He 'meows' when he sees me and comes to rub up against legs. I bend down picking him up.
"Hey boy, how did you get in here?" I ask, petting him as he purrs enjoying the attention. I see that the kitchen window is open and I'm guessing thats how Karmo got in. I put him down to start on dinner.

"X equals to 355." I mumble finishing up the math equation
I shut my math text book and stretch my limbs getting up from my small desk in my room. I stand up jumping on my bed moaning as the pillow hits my face.
My day has been stressful my laptop rings I get up from my bed to see Zenith is Skyping me I answer the call to see Zenith pop up on the screen painting her nails.
"Let me just add the others." She says and I see her fiddle then Bonnie and Victoria pop up on the screen.
"Finally we get to gossip without hate." Victoria cheers causing us to laugh at her.
"Guys guess who I saw after school when I went in the school building to get Willow!" Victoria squeals.
"Who?" We all ask at the same time which is not creepy at all. Note the sarcasm.
"Maddox." Victoria squeals.
"Oh gosh here we go again with Tori getting her panties wet." Zenith groans. Me and Bonnie laugh at Victoria's face as she pouts like a toddler.
"I'm not suprised, I bumped into the guy." I say causally petting Karmo as he lies on my lap. I look it see my friends looking at me with shocked expressions.
"Talk. Now." Bonnie demands moving her face closer to the screen.
"Woah calm down it's nothing special guys." I mumble and try to reassure them. "But I was shocked that he actually caught me when I almost fell to my doom." I mumble thinking about the awkward situation.
"What?!" I hear shrieks through the computer which scares my poor Karmo. My friends were so loud that my mom runs in my room wearing a night gown and holding up a wooden spoon.
"Willow are you okay?" My mom questions looking around my room frantically she stops to me sitting peacefully on my bed with the laptop infornt of me.
"Sorry ma...it was them." I say quickly pointing at the computer screen blaming my friends ,my friends give my mom sheeplish grins.
"Hello girls." My mom greets with a warm smile dropping the wooden spoon to her hip.
"Sup Delilah."Zenith greets causally my mom rolls her eyes.
"My name is Reece, Zenith how many times do I have to tell you that." My mom scolds playfully. Me and the girls laugh at my mom's and Zenith's exchange.
Zenith started calling my mom Delilah a few years ago after me and her walked on my mom to see her singing "Hey Delilah".
It was so funny when I saw my mom's embarassed experssion. It takes alot to see my mom embarassed she is such a strong women I want to be like her she is so confident while I'm very shy and she speaks her mind all the time and sticks up for what it right even if it might cost her something near and dear to her heart.
When my mom started dating my father her family didn't approve because he was black and her family didn't think they would be together for such a long time,but my mom stayed with him and she ran away with him. I found that romantic and powerful.
Once my mom was done talking to my friends she walked out my room with Karmo following behind her,traitor.
I turn back to my friends they had curious looks.
"What?" I ask feeling uncomfortable at their creepy states.
"Tell us about you and Maddox". Bonnie cooes like me and him are an item.
"Guys I just bumped into him he caught me and told me to 'watch where I'm going' that's all, nothing more nothing less." I say.
"Come on there has to be more sauce in the story."Zenith whines.
"Come on Will we want more." Victoria begs
"Guys there is nothing else okay..besides he wouldn't go for me." I mumble tying my curly afro in a bun.
"Don't say that Will any guy would be lucky to be with you ignore what Jason did to you because girl you are hawt."Victoria says winking at the end I chuckle lightly.
"Thanks Tori." I mumble blowing a kiss at her.
"Hey! Where are mine and Zen's kiss". Bonnie whines.
"Calm your t**s girls who wouldn't want this sexiness." Victoria says dramatically which makes me laugh as her,Zenith and Bonnie start arguing.
"Night guys". I finally say they all say 'night' back I stop the call shutting my laptop and charging it. I get under my covers getting comfortable thinking about Maddox. Drifting in a sea of darkness.
