Beep.
My eyes flutter open the light was to bright I groan adjusting my eyes to the blinding light. I open my eyes fully to see I'm lying on a hospital bed tubes are around me my leg is propped up on something I have a bandage around my thigh and ankle.
I feel my forehead I have a band aid on it. I hear voices entering the room I look up to see my mom and a doctor walk in.
"Oh baby." My mom cries running to my side. I hiss as my head pounds as my mom hugs me.
"Sorry." She whispers
"How are you feeling Willow." The doctor asks me.
"My head hurts." I groan rubbing my temples.
"That is perfectly normal the nurse will bring some painkillers for you." The doctor says writing something down on a clipboard.
The doctor checks my leg and head before leaving me with mom. My mom sits by my side holding my hand as she sobs quietly.
"Mom why are you crying?"I ask.
"I was so worried Willow when Maddox told me he found you in a ditch I thought you were going to die." She sobs squeezing my hand. Maddox?
"Where are my friends." I ask my mom.
"They are all outisde by the waiting room." My mom sniffs. I nod my head laying my pounding head on the uncomfortable hospital pillow.
"You want me to call them in." My mom asks her puffy red eyes staring directly in my brown ones.
"No." I whisper my mom looks shocked at my answer.
"Why not?" She asks.
"I just don't want to see them right now." My mom nods her head walking out the hospital room.
You're probably wondering why I don't want to see my friends. To be honest with you I didn't know why I said no maybe it's beacuse I was angry or if I just didn't want to see Maddox's face.
I groan rubbing my face a nurse walks in smiling at me with a tray in hand with food and pills.
"Hello Miss Kennedy,here is your dinner and medication." The nice nurse said placing my tray down I look at her closely she was middle aged with orange hair tied up in a low bun she had mismatched eyes one was green and the other was a light blue she had a warm smile.
"Thank you.."
"Call me Eliza." She says placing the pills down on the tray she passes me the pills with a glass of water.
I swallow all the pills gulping down the rest of the water I hand the glass back to her wiping my mouth with the back of my hand.
She hands me the tray of food I look down to see rice,vegetables and chicken breast I also see a chocolate pudding cup. I thank Eliza she leaves me alone in the room again.
I eat the food in peace I'm actually enjoying the peace and quiet beacuse I can think clearly about what's going on in my life with my mom just around the corner and with out the girls next to me and with the guys acting like I'm not there. I smile content with the peaceful evening I'm having even if it's in a hospital room.
