Ashlie greeted politely, "Mrs. Lautner, long time no see."
Naomi laughed and said, "Oh my goodness, Ashlie! It's been ages! Last time I saw you, you were just a little kid, and now look at you, all grown up!"
She pulled the person beside her and introduced, "This is Ashlie, my neighbor and Carlyle's high school buddy."
Emma nodded, showing a polite and sweet smile, a completely different personality from what was seen at the hospital. She extended her hand to Ashlie and said, "Nice to meet you formally, I'm Emma, Carlyle's childhood bestie."
Ashlie was about to shake hands but stopped midway, retracting her hand suddenly. She said somewhat embarrassedly, "Oops, sorry about that. I just grabbed some steaks, and my hands are a bit messy."
