Nina narrating: — The silence that surrounded me was what first made me realize that something was terribly wrong. It had never been normal for such a level of silence to prevail. It was a clear sign that a predator was nearby, and therefore, all those lower in the food chain and sensible enough would hide as a means to protect their lives. — This strange, complete silence...
