Luke narrating: In the first few days after my conversation with Nina about Bruce and how I believed that everyone deserved that small window of the benefit of the doubt, I had stayed away from Nina. I made sure I would never be alone with her. I simply couldn’t be alone with her. I couldn’t risk being attracted to her. Peter knew. In fact, they all knew, but they respected both me and Nina enough not to bring it up. It was between us. It was between Nina and my family, and even if they had an opinion, they didn’t come and speak openly about it. I was doing well.
