Bright light's covered the dark night

merriment filled the skies,

they were things to eat, places to party at, the villagers were filled with so much happiness, as the lanterns lit up ths skies, and the fire crackers amused the children.

But the chief had other ideas, he was too busy organizing the soldiers for the raid.

As the ceremonies continued, the head priest was still in his chambers, callin unto the eyrl's for the safe going of ths festival,

Then he soon heard ruffling of bushes, as he made to go check he saw a familiar face,

Giliard?!,

yes sir , said giliard smiling, i brought this for you in the spirit of the celebration, he said handing him a bowl of fruits

The priest sighed and sat in his cacoon, giliard my friend, how is your wife, she's alright nothing but this hardship worries her, .

To this, the priest smiled, giliard, the eyrl will bless you , giliard saw himself looking at the ground. hmm, they talked for a while , until giliard decided to leave.

Giliard, the priest called out , this path your'e treading on will leave you nothing but undesirable pain and loss, , giliard paused in he's steps but didn't turn back ,

Thd priest took a deep sigh and continued, i hate to see all my friends turning against me, but the safety of this village lies in my hands, and the eyrl will not be . .....

Giliard not waiting for the priest, to finish his prayed , dashed straight forward at him with a sword, piercing his robe, caught by surprise the priest saw himself staggering backward,and fell

Picking himself up, he looked at giliard, i didn't want to do this, he said as he chanted

giliard rushing to strike him again , was struck by an invisible force.

The priest let out a menacing laugh, did you really think you can fight against a priest and win,

Now to reveal my trump card, he said as he said some inaudible words , giliard still in a fit of rage, rushed forward with a mighty speed and force, but as if barthelemeo was seeing into the future, he dodged it, surprising giliard

Then suddenly the ground began to shake , and open , giliard being unsure of what happened ran back, from beneath the ground, a 10 foot monster escaped, with eyes as red as the sun, and skin as dark as night itself,roaring in anger , asking for who summoned it , and behind him , the once calm barthelmeo, laughing like a mad mage, you know the saying, fool me once shame on you , fool me twice shame on me, now fool me three times, said barthelemeo laughing, i really must be an i***t, now tell me giliard where do you fall under

At this point , giliard's feet was stuck to a spot, not by fear, no by something , that ran deeper,

He knew that if he didn't stop barthelmeo, nothing would, he needed to do this, without caring of the money the chief had given him.

It was his duty, if not for the innocent lives, if not for the unborn children, or the poor folks or animals even

Then for he's WIFE!

The only problem was the damned beast, ,

I guess it's time, he said as he made a signal

Then from the bushes, thousands of guards emmerged, surprising the priest

Barthelemeo clutching on to he's beads, was surprised and caught unawares, he had not even predicted this

But any who he's fun will not be ruined, cackling, he instructed the monster to attack

Obeying its master's other's went on a rampage and started attacking the guard's, , even after seeing this the guards were not deterred, and continued fighting

I mean who could blame them , they were paid well, while the villagers were rejoicing hundred's of guards were getting massacred, one by one

Some after seeing this, tried to run , but were caught and devoured by the best.

Gilliard couldn't help but see he's comrades dying one after the other, with the remaining ones he screamed at the top if his lungs

what are you doing runing, away from this, were soldiers for crying out load, we have seen and dealt worse than this, for if it isn't for our country , then let it be for our GOD DAMN PRIDE!

the soldiers recieving a burst of energy, lashed out at the beast and gilliard went after barthelemeo, grabbing him from behind as he was distracted by the soldiers

Barthelemeo, still shocked by the man handling, screamed and tried to squirm off of giliard's grip, but giliard with he's blood stained face held on to him

Why , barth,whyy, why take my child from me,

Barthelemeo, no longer having enough power to control the summoned beast, the beast vanished, but not without killing most of the guards,and leaving a ghastly injury on gilard

with the rushed breath, he took as giliard was chocking him up,he spoke, The eyrl requested

And this drive giliard mad, while gritting his teeth, he spoke , barthelemeo, you once told me the life of the villagers lies in your hands

To this the priest nodded, thinking he still had hope, but the next word gilliard said shattered it for him, while raising he' sword to the sky , he spoke up with a loud voice

That means Evil lies within, he said as he struck the knife into the priest's torso, with a pathetic cry, the priest died

After killing he's friend, gilliard lay next to him all battered and broken, he smiled and lay down

for a moment or two he lay motionless on the floor, deep breathing

With a sigh

he rose , grabbing, a torch, went towards the temple and lit it up, throwing the bowl of fruits into the fire.

He then walked ahead to pick up the injured soldiers, as when went on walking on in the night, gilliard couldn't help thinking of his wife and that thought alone brought sanity to he's mind

As they walked, around the night, their eyes caught something or someone, with glowing cyan hair fluttering in the wind
