Devil's Heat

The Beginning to a Start of my Life

    I look to my right as I'm leaving the only home I've known since my parents. As I'm looking I get a deep ache in my heart. Leaving this place is hard, but I need to start my own life. As I drive up the hills of San Francisco to my new place with my roommate I think about all the fun times. 

When I finally reach my destination I get out of the car and grab a few things and walk into the complex. Once I reach the elevator I press the number for my stop. Once I finally get off the elevator I find the apartment and knock. The next thing I know my best friend Athena is tackling me for a  hug.

"Hey Bestie," said the goddess in front of me as she hugs me. "Hey, Athena." We hug for a while until I say "Umm... I can't breathe" as I pretend to gasp for air. "Shut up loser," she said as she smacks my arm. 

"Hey, that hurt." as I pout "Ah shut up you big baby" "Sooo, Are you gonna let me in and help me with my other boxes?" I said teasingly. " Eh, why not?" she said with a shrug.

"Finally," I say as I plop down on the couch after the work out of getting all my boxes. "I know right" as she sits with me. "Well I'm going to sleep see ya tomorrow," I say while retreating to my room. "GOOD NIGHT! LOVE YOU!" she yells. "Good night, Love you too." I change and settle into my bed as my thoughts of where me, Sapphire, is going to find a job pop into my head.

Next Morning

    "Arghhh" as I stretch, as I just woke up from the sun peeking threw my curtains. I grab my phone off my bed somewhere and look at the time, '9:26' it reads. I get up and walk into the bathroom to start my day.

After all the stuff that was needed to be done in the bathroom, I go into one of the boxes that read clothes and grab some dark blue skinny jeans, black tank top, and a cardigan and grab my black tennis shoes. And I add a wee bit of mascara and leave my face natural cause I usually never wear make-up. 

I leave my room to go to the kitchen in search of food and also find out Athena left for work already. As I'm looking for food, I find the newspaper on the counter with a big red circle around it. I think 'Thanks Athena'. I look at the contents and it has an advertisement to work as a PA for the CEO of Golds Inc. 

I grab my phone and call the number to set up the meeting. 

A few minutes later, I have an interview on Thursday at 9:15 with the CEO. So that's 2 days from now.
