Chapter 2

I am broke. Since last year i've been doing a bartender job. But a month ago due to recession my mom and dad lost there job.

Now they can't afford my fee. I applied for loan but did not get approved. Now I have no option but look for some better part time job or drop the college, which I really don't want to. I love what i am studying, accounting.

Someone put their hand on my shoulder and his lips brushed against my ear, "hey babe".

I looked in his direction and hugged him, "Hey Ron".

Ron is my friend and also my boss. He is one of the most caring and loving person I know but at the same time he is a big flirt. He can't keep his hands to himself, little more friendly than normal. But I don't mind, he's a good friend and I know him. He's intention are never to harm. It just he's more friendly, "how you doing?"

How am I doing? Well this question is foreign to me as well, "working my ass of. I need to get another job. Otherwise without a choice I have to drop college. you know my situation right?"

He nodded and said, "that's why I have a offer for you"

My face instantly light up and with sparkle in my eyes I asked, "please tell me about it. I really very need this"

He laughed, "On Sunday there is a high end business function in the city and the C.E.O of Campbell Corporation is looking for a date. You don't have to do much. Just smile there and look pretty as his date"

I frowned, "no I am not doing this who knows what kind of pervert he is"

Ron put his hands on my shoulder and sighed, "trust me, it's no big deal, nothing will happen, its completely safe. It's just a business function. Business men get together to show off their wealth and make more contacts. You just have to be there as a subordinate to just look pretty and smile and get along with them. And pay is pretty good plus they will arrange for your clothes and make up"

My eyes lit up, "Really? How much money?"

He smiled, "1000 dollar per hour"

"Oh My God! Really? I am gonna faint" I was so happy I gave him a bone crushing hug.

He laughed, "I knew you're gonna love this. Usually models do these jobs, you know" He smirked and brushed his hand against my cheek and slightly moved my hair behind my ears, "you are not less than one"

My cheeks turned red. How can I not? He always says such pretty flirty lines. It can make any girl swoon over him

I managed to laugh, "Okay, okay.. let me get back to work" I was so happy, he's such a sweetheart. He has been my backbone since the day I came here for the job, "And thank you so much.. i owe you a big time"

He didn't say anything, gave me a hug and moved back to his office.

I met him a year ago. I came here for drinks with my friends and I saw a notice outside for the requirement of a bartender urgently. I had a small formal meeting with him that day and next day I joined the team.

He is the best boss ever and really good friend of mine. Always helping me with stuff. He is the best.

Ron also help me move on from my ex. I told him everything about that day. I cried a lot on his shoulder. He patted my head all night and hugged me and keep saying sweet things to console me.

Anyway thinking about Jade, always put me through a bad mood.

Anyway it's all in the past and I've moved on. I really need to focus on my life. With financial backhand I have no choice but work harder.

Now I have a job to look forward. Today is Thursday, means after 2 days I have to go to the gathering. This makes me little nervous. I have never been to such places but anyway this a good opportunity to make easy few thousand bucks. I am really looking forward to.

Next day I got an email from the secretary of the C.E.O of Campbell Corporation. Asking for my basic and my bank account details. They also send me a non disclosure agreement related to the evening. Nothing important just normal clause to respect the boss and not offend other guest and not disclose that i'm paid for being there.

I didn't think it's a big deal and did not read further. I signed after reading these few of the stuff.

I took a quick shower and changed into a long tshirt i took from Ron. After a long long day I lay down on my bed. I had a such a hectic day with college and bar. Hardly I could open my eyes.
