I texted Liam back saying 'Okay, have a safe trip'
I closed my phone and told jade, "I am staying here only. Liam is going back to New York."
"Oh, okay.. All well?"
I shrugged and said, "Yeah, he said for work"
He did not say anything and throughout the journey to the restaurant, none of us said a word. In five minutes or so, we reached an Italian restaurant.
When we got in, the restaurant looked like we were in Italy, though, I had never been there but I was sure it would look the same.
We got to a nice table in the corner. The waitress gave us the menu for drinks and dishes. I ordered Lasagne alla Bolognese and a glass of red wine. And Jade ordered Pollo alla Cacciatora with some bread on the side and whiskey.
