chapter 6

Advik POV:

When I am doing my bath, I heard a ringtone of mobile and I assigned a special ringtone for my CHOCO PIE. I finished my bath, quickly tied a towel around my waist, and ran out to attend the call.

Me: hi choco pie,

        I am sorry as I didn’t call from yesterday” I apologized to her.

Choco pie: I don’t want your stupid sorry.  Do you know how tense I was from last night?

Me:  I am fine. Please listen to me.

Choco pie: okay then. you are fine right, bye….

She disconnected the call.

Again I tried to call her number but she disconnected my call and switched off her mobile. I called the landline but no one attended my call. I fisted my hair in my frustration and threw flower vase near to me.  After a few minutes, I calmed myself and realized where I am. Aadhya was looking at me like a scared rabbit.

“I am sorry… Aadhya…     Actually…I was very angry. I didn’t mean to scare you” I said in a low voice.

“it's okay. I will clean the broken pieces” she replied lowering her head.

Immediately she walked out of the room without looking at me. I felt guilty for my behavior then I realized why she didn’t look at me. Because I was only covered with the towel. It was the first time, I exposed to any girl. I quickly changed into my nightwear and lay on the bed before she enters the room.  Later she came to the room and cleaned the broken pieces of the vase. She switched off the light in the bed. Then I sensed mattress dipped with weight for a few seconds then I felt empty as earlier. I turned to the other side, to check Aadhya but she is not present beside me. With the help of the moonlight from the window, I noticed she was sleeping on the floor.

Oh my god, she is having a fever and sleeping on the floor.

I called her with the name three times, she didn’t respond to my words. I switched on the lights and tapped lightly on her shoulder. She opened her eyes and looked me with agitated expression.

“ Do you need water?” she asked me innocently.

“That…come and sleep on the bed. You are not feeling well” I said.

“it's ok. I am fine here.” She answered.

“ Okay then. I will also sleep on the floor. Your wish then…” I took the sheets on the bed.

“But… “ she stopped in the middle.

“ I am not a devil to eat you,” I said in a serious tone.

She looked at my facial expression and laid on the edge of the bed closing her eyes. I smiled inside with her scared expression and I too slept on the other side.

The next day morning, I disturbed by the sun rays which are directly coming on the face through the window. I wanted to close the curtains but I noticed delicate hands on my torso who gripped my T-shirt tightly. I saw  Aadhya sleeping soundly holding me.  She was looking gorgeous without any makeup. Her thin pink lips, her long eyelashes and her mole on the upper lips are so perfect and attractive. An unknown smile formed on my lips on seeing her. She looks like an angelic beauty. I caressed her cheeks gently with my hand. She looks very innocent. The strands of hair disturbing her sleep. So I kept them behind her ears and removed her hand from me to close the window curtains. I covered her properly with sheets and went to the washroom. Even I come out after my morning chores still she is sleeping like a baby. I checked her body temperature once again and walked out. I called my assistant Gopal to cancel all appointments until ten days. Then again I made a call to my CHOCO PIE. I know, she will be upset with my marriage but I have to convince her at any cost. Still, her mobile is switched off.

Instantly, I called my friend, Gautham, and asked to bring My choco pie along with him. I shared my present location on what app. He started questioning me like a policeman but I gave a simple answer , “ first come then we speak directly”.

Aadhya POV:

When Advik pleading over the phone, I thought he was talking with a very important person in his life. I felt very awkward to see him in the half-naked state. after disconnecting his call, I stunned to see his furious side and frightened, the way he threw the flower vase. Silently I cleaned all the broken pieces and arranged my bed on the floor.  After some time, he ordered me to sleep beside him in a serious voice. I would not oppose him as I evidence his anger a few minutes back. So I slept beside him without having any choice.

The next day, I woke late due to the drowsiness of medicines. I found my bed is empty beside me. I quickly completed my morning business. I wear a simple salwar suit and tied my wet with a towel. I went to the kitchen to prepare coffee for uncle.

When I was boiling the milk, I remembered how my dad used to request for my hand made coffee

“princess, one coffee please…”

 I wiped tears in the corner of my eyes. I lost in my father’s memories and hold a hot milk vessel with my bare palm. I screamed with pain at once. Uncle ran into the kitchen hurriedly.

“What happened, dear? Why did you scream loudly?” uncle questioned me.

“ Nothing uncle…” I hide my hands.

Then he took my hands and checked the burns on my palms. He opened the tap and kept my palms under the water.

“Who told you to enter into the kitchen? When your health is not good?” he asked me.

“To prepare coffee for you” I answered.

He made me sit on the kitchen counter and prepared coffee for the trio. He asked me to give a cup of coffee to Avdik. I searched for him in the house but I could not find him inside. Then I heard his conversation over the phone and went to that place to give him coffee.

He took coffee cup from my hand and asked about my health.

“Good” I replied in one word.

“I want to talk with you for a few minutes. Shall I speak with you personally?” he asked me.

I nodded my head as yes and followed him silently. I am feeling very nervous about what he wants to talk with me. As soon as we entered the room, he locked the door.
