Advik POV: After a long time, I am going to meet  Kishore Uncle and his Daughter, Aadhya. In my childhood, we used to stay with our grandparents in our hometown years old. They used to stay beside my grandparent's house in our hometown. I am so excited to attend his daughter because my mother used to love and pamper her more when she is a small kid.  Kishore Uncle runs departmental stores at our place. Still, I remember how her father looks after her. Uncle always used to bring chocolates and storybooks for us. Even my mother used to take care of Aadhya in the absence of her dad. Both my mother and her mother were best friends. Unfortunately, her mother died at the time of her birth. Still, I remember Aadhya in the pink frozen frown just looks like a princess with dimples on her cheeks.  Those days are my best days with my grandparents, my mother, and also with Aadhya and her father. But everything changed in one day when we met with an accident. I lost my mother in that accident and all my happiness vanished from that day. After two months, my father married a person named Kalpana. She never used to allow Aadhya to enter into our home.  Slowly, she stopped coming tour house later they shifted to the city. After they shifted to the city, I never saw her. After three years, we also shifted to the same city but uncle never used to visit our home. I don’t know what happened between my dad and uncle.  Because of my stepmother, the relation between me and my dad become very delicate. Slowly, I distant myself from my dad.  Then I joined the hostel for studies and went to Australia for further studies. I returned only for my sister, vedika. I love my sister so much. When my dad said that we have to attend Aadhya’s marriage, I was astonished. Still, I didn’t believe my uncle and my dad are in contact even now. Anyways I was so happy to meet them. My dad and I started to aadhya’s marriage. I saw the poster for the wedding at the entrance of the function hall. The most surprising one was my best friend is the groom. But I confused why he didn’t invite me for the marriage. Uncle invited my dad and me with a smile and thanked my dad for coming. I stood like a statue looking at them blankly. “Is he my munna?” uncle asked my dad. “Yes, he is. ”my dad replied with a smile. “How are you dear?” uncle asked while hugging me. “Fine uncle. So you both are in good terms?” I questioned him. “ Yes. But we kept our friendship secret because of your stepmother.” Uncle answered looking at my dad. “ We can talk about it later. First, come and meet aadhya “ uncle took us to Aadhya’s room. There were only ladies in the room.  One of the ladies looked at us and asked uncle whether I am the groom. Immediately, uncle face becomes dull and answered her that I am his friend’s son. Then he asked everyone in the room to go out.  Immediately my eyes fell on the girl who is sitting on the chair showing her back. “Aadhya…”  my dad asked her. “ I don’t talk with you, uncle. You cheated me …..”  Aadhya whined. “ Look, dear, who came for you?” Kishore uncle called her. “I don’t want to meet anyone…” she said without turning her head. “ If I say Advik Come for you? Then?” my dad said. “ Advik….. came here?” she turned her head. For a few seconds, I stopped blinking my eyes on seeing her. She was looking so gorgeous in the wedding attire. I didn’t believe the girl I saw long back changed into a beautiful angel. “Advik ?” she asked pointing her finger. I nodded my head and smiled at her.  Instantly, she runs towards me and hugged me tightly placing her hands around.  I felt so content when she is in my arms. My heart was dancing with unknown happiness. After a few minutes, she moved away and looked at me. “ I missed you so much” she whined like a small girl. “I too…” I replied. “ you are a liar. You never used to come to meet me” she pouted. I stayed silent because whatever she is saying is true, even I never tried to meet her. “Do you know uncle always comes to our house to visit us. Whatever aunty used to say is true. You are a bad boy” she said in an angry tone. “ sorry…” I hold my ears with my hands. “ Your apologizes are not accepted Mr. Advik” she said seriously. “Aadhya….is this a way to talk with guests?” uncle stopped her. “ We are not any guests but one family. Isn’t it Aadhya?” my dad said looking at me. “Yes dad, we are one family” I answered. “Okay then, if you buy one big ice cream, I will forgive you” she smiled at me. “ Okay done” I showed my thumb. Then someone called her to get ready as she is getting late. So Dad, uncle, and I came out because it is not the right thing to stay in the ladies room.  Later I asked uncle about marriage because still, I didn’t understand why yaswanth didn’t invite me  to being a best friend.  Then uncle explained to me that yaswanth  came to his house 3months back to ask Aadhya’ s hand for marriage. Uncle also said at the beginning he was no interested but Yashwanth used to come to his departmental stores and also to their house to convince their marriage. I was shocked to hear his words that yaswanth loved Aadhya and that too he never shared his love matters with me.  I felt bad that he hides it from me. Later, I wanted to ask the reason why he kept it as secret after marriage rituals. …….. Like everyone in the wedding hall, I am also waiting for the groom.  Uncle was busy receiving the guests and my dad was busy marriage arrangements. I noticed uncle was looking tense watching at the entrance of the wedding hall. I walked towards him and asked the reason than he said that Yashwant was not attending his call. At last moment, Yaswanth came in three-piece suit instead of the groom’s attire. He denied marrying Aadhya as he wanted to take revenge on her. My blood boiled on hearing his words and felt ashamed for being his best friend.  Even I tried to change his mind but there was no use. He left the wedding hall without thinking about Aadhya’s future. Uncle collapsed on the floor with his betrayal. When he asked to marry Aadhya, my mind stopped working because I had no faith in love and marriage. But unexpectedly my heart accepted his plea and  I married Aadhya. Our lives changed in one day.
