The Leonardo da Vinci Museum is housed in an old storefront located directly beside the Florence Museum of the Dark Ages. A museum that stands in stark contrast to the brightly illuminated, pleasant da Vinci museum interior with its dark cavernous space accessible by a staircase that leads underground into what is billed as one of Florence’s only surviving Dark Age dungeons. Entering into the da Vinci Museum, I quickly realize I am more than likely the first customer of the day.
