we're currently only and hour away from the royal pack. mum, dad, River and a handful of our best warriors are packed into our SUVs and have been driving for 3 hours already. mum suddenly perks up "So ladies, all ready for the ball and meeting your mates ?" she says with a knowing grin. "mum.. please dont get your Hope's up, we might not even meet our mates.. or even have one." I say a little quieter. "My dear Auora when will you stop fooling yourself, I know you definitely have a mate out there." my father suddenly turns to my mother giving her a unknown look before she huffs and turns forward again.

"I'm sure you're right Luna, who wouldn't want our beautiful Auora." River says grinning at me. "kiss ass.." I mumbel as mother gives me a sturn look. "What about you River? how are you feeling about possibly meeting your mate ?" mother adds with a smile "More than ready Luna, I really hope hes here tonight." I sigh under my breath looking put the window. beautiful forest surrounding us as a beautiful dark castle is illuminated by the mid day sun.

after another 30 minutes of pretty much off road driving we reach the royal pack borders, we quickly gain entry and drive up towards the castle. up close I can see its stunning architecture, it almost looks medieval with modern updates. it's dark gray stones give it a eerie vibe but the nature around brings such life to it, the red ivy covers its walls as its gardens look almost ethereal. I've never seen such a beautiful garden before. as soon as I step out the car I'm quickly engulfed by a large pair of arms. "AIDEN" I almost squeal as I embrace him. "how I've missed you little..." suddenly he stops and sticks his nose into the air. a deep growl vibrates his chest as he rushes and grabs River into his arms. "Mine..." "Mate..." they both say almost at the same time.

Mother is jumping for joy as father smirks and grabs Aidens shoulder. "Looks like you found yourself a Luna son." mum is embracing River already talking about a Luna ceremony, I better rescue the poor girl. suddenly I'm picked up again, damn werewolf boys I practically growl as Ryan pulls me into a tight hug "Oh my beautiful little Auora you've came to see me!" "nice to see you to Ryan" I laught as I wiggle from his grip. "Looks like you're sisters future Luna." I smile. "You know what, I always thought they'd end up being mates. he always asked me how River was doing." he said with a smug look. "well thanks for telling me ! mind you... River always asked aswell, I thought she had a little crush." I started to giggle, now thinking about it they definitely showed the signs.

I run towards River and Aiden. "mum leave them be." I place my hand on Rivers shoulder "so, future Luna ay.." I say giving her a wink. Aiden grabs her again pulling her into his chest "Mine." he playfully growls at me as we all laugh. clearing his throat father says " we better go get settled, give Aiden and River some time alone." mum looks at him with a playful frown as the warriors grab our bags.

"Alpha Andrew, Luna Astrid, Future Alpha Aiden, Lady Auora, Beta Ryan and Lady River." said the castle guards as we entered. "Future Luna River." Aiden all but grows towards the poor guard. "My deepest apologies Alpha, I shall remember for future announced." he bows. Aiden grunts but nods as we continue through the deep red and rather dark entrance halls. as we walk down a beautiful portrait catches my eyes. a man with deep red eyes and midnight black hair. he looks so royal and handsome but his eyes show darkness, almost loss. I'm dragged out my thoughts as Ryan grabs my shoulder. "That's Alpha King Alexander, scary dude right ?" well to be honest I wasnt thinking scary. more like deeply handsome yet dark but I simply nod dragging my eyes away from those deep red ones. almost looking into my soul. a shiver runs up my spine as we enter the west wing guest quarters. we all have our own separate rooms to get ready in, I was going to share with River but yeah, I think she'll be fine I giggle to my self as I enter the extravagant room. beautiful deep royal blue 4 poster bed with deep blue walls. it's rather dark for my taste but never the less beautiful. I throw myself onto the bed sighing as I remember those red eyes.. slowly nodding off to a dreamless sleep....
