Kiera's POV The morning sun filtered through the curtains, casting a soft glow over our bedroom. Bane lay beside me, his breathing steady and peaceful. I watched him for a moment, grateful for his safe return and the strength he brought to our pack. Our conversation from the previous night lingered in my mind, a stark reminder of the dangers that still lurked beyond our borders. Koda’s laughter echoed from the hallway, pulling me from my thoughts. I slipped out of bed quietly, careful not to wake Bane, and followed the sound.
