My thoughts were consumed by Koda. My son. If I could get my hands on him, I could force Bane and Kiera to their knees. But getting to Koda was easier said than done. Shadow Haven was well-protected, and Bane was no fool. He’d never let his guard down, especially not where Koda was concerned. I needed a plan, something clever, something they wouldn’t see coming. I needed to get past the No Quarter Edict without directly breaking it. My lips curled into a smile as an idea began to form in my mind. If I couldn’t attack them outright, I’d have to be more subtle.
