Nicholas was passed out on the cold floor, but he was awakened when a bucket of cold water was dumped on him. He was weak and confused.
Last thing he remembered was Vera walking away in the arms of that bastard and his daughter was there crying. Nicholas flicked water out of his hair. He groaned. He wasn't sure how much longer he could hang on without his wolf.
"Sorry but you stank, anyway it's time to get up now. We have work to do "

He blinked twice. Vera's mother was standing above him.
"I kind of pity you, getting messed up with my daughter. The coven is going to try to break my daughters binding spell, but be warned; she wants to kill you, to her you were a mistake."
