Nicholas didn't want to open his eyes. The light was too bright.
He was trying to focus on wiggling his fingers. They were stiff. His hearing was buzzing but then it focused onto a conversation that was happening in the room with him. He recognised Vera's voice.
" Thankfully I found that stupid talisman. Sigh. God I was stupid....."
Nicholas was focused on Veras words but then his frustration built up when he heard the next voice.
"Yes my love, but if you didn't do it, you would lose your daughter. It's fine. Your mother and the coven might have found a way to release the two of you and then I can take care of your....flea infested problem..."
He then spat before continuing.
"It's the week between the full moon and the waning gibbous moon, so it's the prime time....
