I didn’t realize what time I had fallen asleep but was awoken by yelling and the sound of a helicopter outside.
“We are saved!”, I yelled. Startling Sebastian from his sleep. I urged him to remove the chest we had barricaded the door with.
We went outside just as the helicopter got out of sight “no please!”, I yelled and waved my arms.
We then heard distant voices calling out our names and whistles from the forest and I ran inside and rampaged through the kitchen to grab a pan and spoon to use it to make some noise and attract their attention while I screamed my head off.
I yelled in relief after seeing people break through the tree line and one of them was Duke.
