“This is where we get out.” Sarah pulled the car to the grassy verge so violently that I had no choice but to put my arms out and catch myself on the dashboard . My palms smarted with the force of it and I turned towards her angrily.
The anger evaporated when I caught the almost panicked look in her eyes.
