Elise waited for Rachel and Tommy to exit Tommy’s Mustang, before she got out and joined them on the tarmac. The parking lot was pretty much full, with only a couple of spaces left. They still had an hour until the race started, but the build-up – according to Rachel – was the best part. Her cousin wanted to watch the cheer squad’s performance before the race.
The first thing she noticed was the vibe as she walked through the main doors to the small arena. Tension filled the air. There were fans of the five teams competing in the stands, all hoping their team would win the overall competition next Sunday.
