Elise and Rachel joined in with their sodas. “I just want to take this moment to thank you both for letting us stay with you. It’s been a lovely vacation, hasn’t it, Elise?” She tried to smile broadly, yet everyone knew she was upset over Scott’s disappearance.
“It has. I love it here.” Elise was trying to smile for her, and doing as good a job as she was.
“I do wish you’d consider staying on, Abbie. Look at how successful Fabiana and Ilario’s wedding was. We could be hosting weddings like that every weekend. This place could finally make some decent money, instead of just scraping by.”
