Chapter Seven
Enemies in Heels
The air inside the office turned ice cold.
Damian’s dark eyes stayed locked on Bianca DeLuca as he walked closer.
“Wrong building,” he said calmly.
But somehow, his calm voice sounded more threatening than shouting.
Bianca remained unfazed.
“I’m here for business.”
Luca suddenly appeared beside Damian, his expression hardening instantly when he saw Bianca.
“Well,” Luca muttered, “this day just keeps getting better.”
Olivia crossed her arms smugly. “I told you today would be entertaining.”
Ethan sighed tiredly. “Can we go one hour without drama?”
“No,” Arabella answered while walking out of Damian’s office with a bag of chips in her hand. “This family is cursed.”
Lily stared at all of them in confusion.
Too many rich, dangerous people.
Not enough explanations.
Bianca finally looked toward Damian again.
“My father wants to negotiate.”
Damian laughed softly.
It was cold.
Humorless.
“After attacking my shipment?”
Bianca’s expression barely changed. “You have no proof it was us.”
“That’s never stopped me before.”
The tension between them became unbearable.
Lily noticed several employees secretly watching from across the hallway.
Everyone looked terrified.
Bianca suddenly turned toward Lily.
“And you must be the famous assistant.”
Lily blinked. “Famous?”
Arabella grinned immediately. “Oh, honey, the entire company knows about you already.”
Fantastic.
Absolutely fantastic.
Bianca studied Lily carefully before smiling faintly.
“You’re prettier than I expected.”
Damian’s expression darkened instantly.
“Enough.”
Bianca raised an eyebrow knowingly.
Interesting.
Very interesting.
Before anyone could speak again, the elevator doors opened once more.
A young man stumbled out holding his bleeding arm.
“Boss—”
Luca moved instantly. “What happened?”
The man looked terrified.
“It’s the Romano family,” he breathed heavily. “Someone leaked information about the shipment attack.”
Olivia’s face lost color immediately.
And suddenly everyone in the hallway turned to look at her.
