ROCCO’s POV.
As soon as I alight from the cab, I hasten towards Inara’s gate and I am surprised that it is open and as if that’s not enough, her door also opens under my gentle pressure. A frown appears on my face when I enter the house and I see her phone lying by the door but she is nowhere in
sight.
I look at my wrist watch and it is a few minutes past seven, she should be home given the situation of things.
“Inara?” I call out to her but no answer, it feels like no one is even in the house.
“Princess?” I check out the entire house but no one is in the house.
I walk back to the phone and pick it up, it feels cold.
