Chapter 3

Violet's POV

I walked with my head down so people wouldn't see my eyes, I would've wore lenses but my mum used to say that they were beautiful and that I should treasure them and now that she's gone I wanted to follow her advice.

Once I walked for a good two minutes I stopped in the middle of a hallway and looked around for friendly faces to approach and ask about the main office. A group of jocks whistled and sent me weird smirks as they passed by whilst checking me out. Ewww talk about being creepy and now I am starting to have second thoughts about wearing skinny jeans but what can I say, first impressions always count.

Now don't get me wrong I like being on the spotlight but not when you are the new pink eyed new girl. I ignored them and continued my venture to the main office which I had no idea where it was, before I could make my move to ask someone politely a pretty dark haired girl walked up to me.

"Hey," her brown eyes crunched up as she smiled, "I am Lilly," she extended her hand out for me to shake which I gratefully shook relieved that I didn't have to approach anyone. "I am Violet. Violet Brown," I smiled back happy that someone came to my rescue.

"So let me guess, your not only new to this school and this area but also this city," she asked as she we both pulled back." Yeah is it really that obvious?" I muttered more like to myself but she heard me and decided to answer anyway, " Duh you bet it is, I Don't mean to be nosy but your eyes umm are they...." She said that last bit quietly but then trailed off so I finished her sentences of for her.

" Violet yes" I smiled politely.

"It is ironic really" she said as we both smiled at each other.

By the time me and Lily finished knowing each other Lily's friend Aubrey showed up, the three of us exchanged numbers. Aubrey is brunette, but the kind with brains. I decided not to get too attached. Just in case.

Aubrey and Lily kindly showed me to the main office and the rest day went as smooth as it could get for a new student with weird eyes apart from a few stares from some people I felt that I was somehow being watched but since my eyes was probably receiving all the gazing I ignored the feeling and entered the cafeteria.

I scanned the room full of students for lily and Aubrey, I quickly spotted them sitting in one of the tables near the middle. "Vee I am really happy you decided to come and sit with us," Lily scooted her chair so I could sit next to her as in a welcoming gesture.

"Yeah well you are practically the only people I have talked to in the entire school," I chuckled as I dropped my food tray In front of me. "So we haven't had the chance to say this earlier but there a few groups that you should avoid" Aubrey added calmly as she took a bite of her food.

"True, so first there are the jocks, handsome but jerks...." Before Lily could continue Aubrey cut her off, "In other words total motherfucking shithole players."

I could practically feel Aubrey's anger radiating off her and I knew that there was a story behind that but I wasn't going to go there. "Yeah so just stay clear from them but moving on there's Claire, a snotty redhead, apparently her daddy's a millionaire so she goes around flashing her money with her two sidekicks Abby and Selena, so don't get in her way I'm sure your parents won't be able to afford the trouble and the money that comes with it."

Lily paused to take a deep breath and I took that chance to think about what she said about Claire, I know what those type of girls are and I knew how to deal with them but I wasn't about to tell them that I was an orphan and that my brother could practically put her family's business to bankrupt without even having to release as much as a breath. Lily's eyes suddenly lit up as if she remembered something, "oh and of course we have a golden couple!!!!!!!"

She and Aubrey both squealed dramatically but not loud enough to attract attention, I was about to ask what the perfect couple were like but before I had the chance to talk the cafeteria doors swung open and the whole room was so silent you could practically hear a pin drop.
