I walked towards the front door to open it. I almost panicked as I saw Julian’s mom through the screen door waving from the gate. I turned around and mouthed to Julian, “It’s your mom.” He went upstairs to put on pants since he didn’t want his mom to see him in his underwear.
I opened the gate and invited Lily inside the house.
Vanessa: “Good morning, Lily. We were just having breakfast. Would you like to join us?”
Lily: “Oh, it’s fine, I already had breakfast. “
He found Julian on the table eating heartily.
Julian: “Hi mom”
Lily: “Did Julian behave?”
Vanessa: “Uhm, yeah. He stayed in the guest bedroom since he won’t be comfortable sleeping on the couch.”
Lily: “Yeah, he’s too big, isn’t he? By the way, I love what you’ve done with the place.”
