Helena’s POV Jasper’s been going out a lot lately, as if he’s deliberately avoiding me. I’m not sure if he’s seeing Xesha or someone else—it’s possible that Xesha isn’t satisfying him, so he’s looking for an outlet elsewhere. He didn’t say anything other than “Don’t wait for me.” But I couldn’t just ignore him like that. I kept reaching out to him, calling and texting; making sure he was okay and asking when he’d be coming home. But there was no reply. Not ever again. And I’ve forgotten when exactly he started ignoring me. The sound of a car engine I recognized well pulled into the mansion’s driveway, and I rushed out, worried that Jasper might come home drunk like he had that time. But what I found was him in good shape, except for one thing: he wasn’t wearing any clothes.
