The patient was found in an unresponsive state by authorities after a neighbour reported not seeing Mrs Mortimer for several days. Mrs Mortimer, in her late eighties, was found deceased at the property, having suffered a stroke.Miss Mortimer was also found at the property in an uncommunicative state. She was taken to hospital and found to be suffering from dehydration and malnutrition, as well an underdeveloped musculature from prolonged inactivity. A birth certificate was later tracked down for Miss Mortimer. There are no records of school attendance or employment.
