I got to the airport almost an hour early. Jeff didn’t understand why I had to be there when there was a driver. He wanted to take me out instead but i told him I needed to personally handle the media situation before Zane lands and make sure everything is normal after the honeymoon disaster. He believed me and I eagerly went to the airport.
The entire weekend had been torture with Zane and I care my got through. I was constantly thinking about what might be happening between them.
At first, I felt satisfied after switching the flight arrangements. The wrong city, the missing luggage, the hotel problems… it was supposed to frustrate them enough to make the marriage crack publicly.
I wanted Zane to remember exactly why this marriage was a mistake, and why Lyra was wrong for him.
