I didn't care who I bit into when I followed the Faeries who grabbed Dolan in the chaos of the King's guard slaying Matilda and three other Beasts. I had killed the guards while Vera tried to help the Beasts, finding it too late.
They had even tried to break Matilda's horn. Not knowing what they intended to do with such a powerful item - I took it instead, before trying to comfort Vera as she wept.
