Previously Grabbing her waist, he lifted her up and put her on his lap, facing him. He cupped her face in his hand, caressing her face lovingly. She smiled gently at him, slipping her hand under his shirt, feeling his abs. She slowly trailed her hand down to his waist, her index finger touching the waistband of his jeans. She deliberately moved her index finger further down, eventually reaching a hard lump between his legs. He moaned softly. He grabbed her hand and licked her wrist, his eyes had a primal flare in them. "Touch me more, Lia," he said, kissing the tip of her index finger. Now "I-I'm not sure about... this, Fenix," Adelia said, retracting her hand from his, making him look crestfallen. Arianell whined in her head but seemed to understand Adelia. "You should trust Fenix, Adelia. He hasn't done anything wrong or stepped out of line. ... It's okay if you're not ready though. I'm sure Fenix will understand, I'll link with Raven too." Through their mate bond, Fenix felt the weight of her unease, a trembling thread of sorrow that tugged at his very soul. Without hesitation, he pulled her into his arms, holding her as if she might slip away. "I'm so sorry, love," he murmured, his voice low and strained. "I rushed you, didn’t I? I didn’t think about what you must be feeling. You’ve just stepped into adulthood—how could I not see how frightening this must be for you?" His fingers tightened slightly, his hold desperate as his words wavered with regret. "I never wanted to be a burden to you, never wanted to add to your fears. But here I am, doing exactly that." He pressed his forehead to hers, his eyes shut as if the act might somehow ease the ache between them. "I’m so, so sorry." The silence that followed wasn’t empty—it was filled with the soft sound of their breathing, the echo of his remorse, and the quiet crack in her heart that she had yet to voice. "Oh, Nix," she whispered, her voice soft but laced with guilt as she gently cupped his face. "You don’t have to apologize. I’m at fault too. I shouldn’t have let things go so far if I wasn’t ready." “Heh~,” he chuckled, running a hand through his hair with a crooked grin. “You know you’ve got a talent for turning me on, Lia. But don’t worry, I’ll survive.” He winked playfully before stepping back. “Anyway, you can have my room tonight. Sleep well, love.” Fenix rose to his feet, brushing imaginary dust from his jeans, ready to step away. But just as he turned, Adelia’s fingers curled around his wrist, halting him mid-step. “I’m sorry,” she blurted out, her cheeks flushing a deep crimson. “I’m sorry for pushing you away, I just... I was scared. Scared I’d be... awkward or mess something up. I didn’t want to ruin things with how—how inexperienced I am.” Her voice trembled, and her eyes darted everywhere but his face. The silence stretched between them, heavy and warm, until Fenix smiled softly and tilted his head, his hand brushing hers. "Awkward, huh?" he murmured, his tone teasing but gentle. "I think we’re way past that already." Her lips parted as if to respond, but no words came, only a shaky breath. Fenix’s hand lingered over hers, his thumb tracing slow circles against her skin, grounding her in the moment. His gaze softened, his teasing smile fading into something deeper, something that made her chest tighten. "Lia," he murmured, his voice barely above a whisper, "there’s nothing about you that could ruin this. Not a single thing." Adelia’s heart raced as he leaned closer, his forehead lightly brushing hers. The warmth of his breath danced over her lips, igniting a spark between them. Her hesitation melted away, and she closed the distance, her trembling lips finding his. The kiss was slow at first, a quiet exploration, but soon it deepened, pulling them into a world where only they existed. His hands moved to her waist, steadying her as her fingers curled into the fabric of his shirt, holding him as if she’d never let go. His tongue explored her mouth, tapping hers gently as if it was beckoning her to do the same. She obliged by stiffly moving her tongue around his. Smirking between the kisses, Fenix led her tongue around his mouth, letting her explore. She started to ease up a little and used her tongue to trace his teeth, gently tapping his canines. He pulled away, smiling. "You seem to be having fun," he smiled. Leaning into him, she replied, "Was it that obvious? By the way, your teeth are really sharp." "I know, my mom always told me that, and yeah, you were really obvious," he said. "Since you had your share of the fun, may I get my share?" Adelia was confused, but she could see the desire and a hint of mischief in his tone. "Sure," she said, completely unaware of what she was getting herself into. Fenix smirked, leaning down to kiss her again, his lips brushing over hers as he deepened the kiss once more. His hands moved down her back, pulling her closer, the heat of his body melding with hers. He pressed her against him, their bodies flush with one another, and she could feel the intensity of his desire. "You have no idea how much I’ve wanted this," Fenix whispered, his breath hot against her ear. His hands roamed lower, pushing her shirt up, revealing her skin. He paused, waiting for her to say something, his eyes searching hers for any sign of hesitation. Adelia swallowed, her heart thumping in her chest. "I’m still nervous, but... I trust you, Fenix." He smiled, his expression softening as he gently ran his fingers across her exposed skin. "I’ll go as slow as you need, Lia. This is about you, not about me. We’re in this together, no matter what." Adelia nodded, her nerves still fluttering, but the warmth of his words settled them somewhat. She felt the bond between them deepen with every word, with every touch. He wasn’t pushing her, and that made all the difference. As his lips found hers once more, slow and deliberate, she allowed herself to relax into his embrace. His hands moved with a tenderness that contrasted with the fire burning between them, tracing the curves of her body, never rushing. The air between them was thick with unspoken emotions, and Adelia felt herself giving in, her walls crumbling bit by bit. Fenix's careful, loving touch sent shivers through her, igniting a spark of confidence she hadn’t known she had. She responded in kind, her hands exploring the broad planes of his chest, memorizing the feel of him beneath her fingertips. Fenix’s grip tightened on her waist, pulling her even closer as their kiss deepened. His teeth grazed her bottom lip, tugging gently before he slid his tongue into her mouth, urging her to meet him halfway. His body was a solid, comforting presence against hers, and for the first time in what felt like forever, Adelia felt completely safe. "Are you sure?" he asked softly, pulling back just enough to look into her eyes, his voice full of sincerity. "I don’t want to push you too far." She hesitated, but the bond between them was undeniable, and her heart knew the truth before her mind could catch up. "Yes, Fenix," she whispered, "I’m sure. Just... be patient with me. I’m still learning how to let go."
