Twenty-One When I left the lab it was late in the evening. The sun had set and there was nothing to guide me back to my dorm but the campus blue lights. Playing hooky last week, and having my head elsewhere the days before, had cost me time on my final projects. I’d been putting in late nights for the past few days. “You shouldn’t be out walking by yourself, sweet meat. Never know when a predator might be lurking in the dark.
