"Who are these people?" Gail asked, trying to take a step forward. He threw a hand out to stay her. Couldn't she see they were dangerous? This woman...

"Yes! Now listen to me and go back in" he was scared. Not of Lawrence and his men but of them distracting him so they could get to Gail. Up until then, he hadn't had a weakness.
