MARY'S POV The lecture hall slowly emptied, the chatter fading as students hurried out. I remained standing at my desk, busy shoving heavy textbooks into my tote bag. It was my last class of the day, and Ryder wasn't by my side; he was at the arena, busy sorting out his varsity team paperwork. I completely missed the sharp click of heels approaching from behind. Before I even had the chance to turn around, a bottle of freezing ice water was violently splashed right over my head.
