Chapter Four

711 Words
I was about to scream when I felt a cold metal pressed against my neck. I stilled completely. The finger brushed through my lips until I felt blood slowly dripping out of them. After what felt like an eternity, the intruder finally stopped scrubbing. Tears pooled down my face but I couldn't let out a sigh. The finger slowly traced a line from my forehead to my chin, then I heard a loud groan. “Please, don't hurt me,” I whispered. “I don't have anything, what do you want from me?” The metal was immediately removed from my neck. A hand grabbed mine and slowly placed it on my chest. “I don't understand,” I whisper, shaking. A loud grunt echoed in the room. My hand was dropped and grabbed again, then slammed onto my chest repeatedly. I began to understand. “You want me?” I asked. Another groan. “Who are you?” I asked quietly. Something was quickly lifted from the floor and smashed against the wall, then the finger returned to my lips, scrubbing it roughly again. The metallic taste of blood filled my mouth as I quietly sobbed. Then it stopped all of a sudden, and there was silence. I heard footsteps retreating out of the room. A familiar scent lingered though, the scent I had begun to attach to dread and terror. There was only one mute in the house, a soulless monster who haunted me even in my dreams. It was Levi. I quickly staggered to the door and locked it, then traced the switch and turned the light on. The entire place was a literal mess, our little stool was what he had smashed to the wall. My brother's favorite comic books were torn to shreds. I began to arrange everything. Then my eyes sighted a writing on the floor. “You're mine, your lips are only mine,” He had written it in my blood. He was such a sick voice, no wonder his voice was taken. I took out a rag and wiped it clean before I went back to fixing the room. I took a quick shower, and headed to the kitchen to make dinner. I made the spaghetti Bolognese, taking extra care to ensure I didn't make any mistake. I didn't want to get bathed in insults or have my brother go to bed on an empty stomach. I finished in no time and set the dinner table, and as soon as I was done, they started descending from the stairs. I watched the sit, I unveiled the dishes, then started to walk back into the kitchen when Mrs. Sterling stopped me. “What is this I hear about you turning into a w***e?” “I don't understand, ma’am,” “You never understand anything, do you? You're just some clueless freak who goes around making out with miserable men on a train station,” So that's what this is all about. “You do realize you have a fiancee, right?” Mr. Sterling asked. So he does too, and yet he wouldn't keep his disgusting member to himself. “I shouldn't have done that, I'm sorry,” I said. I wanted this conversation to end as soon as possible so I could go find my brother and give him food before they decide we shouldn't eat today. “I wonder what godmother saw in a slut like her,” Stella chided spitefully. “You would have been a better choice for Jackson,” her mom added, then asked me to leave with a wave of her hand. I hurried out of the house in search of Danny, after searching in vain, I asked the security, who claimed they haven't seen him. I went back inside and asked the Sterling's they all glared at me but said they haven't seen him since he got back from school. I searched the entire house before I recalled he used to go to the lake, I hurried to the lake. I saw a tiny frame on the floor. My fingers began to sweat as my heart hammered against my chest. I walked quicker towards the frame. Danny laid almost lifeless with blood coming out of his nose.
