To say I was shocked would be an understatement, I was taken aback. This man just claimed to be my father, my father who I never had. I do not know what to make of this situation. I looked at my mom for some sort of explanation but her eyes were cast down, silently crying. I turned my attention to the man and he tried to come towards me but I stepped back. He took the hint and stopped.
" I know that you are surprised and confused but if you allow me I can explain," he said pleading voice and eyes with his hand gesturing that I take a seat. I shook my head in denial.
