“I want to go to somewhere fun, please. I don’t know anywhere here, so if you could help
me, that’d be really great” I say, when he does.
He’s quiet for a moment, and I don’t fool myself into thinking he’s trying to pick out a
place. He’s probably trying to decide whether or not to give me an answer. I sigh when
the silence goes on for much longer. Worried he may have chosen the latter, I speak
again.
“I’m a mess right now and I just want to get into a good mood. Come on”
He sighs. The first sound other than a gruff that he’s given me.
“Follow me, ma’am.” He gruffs, before stepping to the side for me to walk in front of him.
Guess we’re back to square one.
He takes me to the movies. I wanted something more lively, but I guess I’ll settle for this.
