The bright summer Monday morning was with a clear cloud. luminous and bright; serene and without trouble.
Sebastian Mallon rubbed his eyes rashly, flexing his muscles.
Good, they were still strong and beefy as always.
The bright rays of the morning sun cast their lights on him, promising him a cheerful day.
He smirks, accepting what nature has to offer for the day.
It was 7:00 a.m., and Sebastian Mallon was already in his office.
Prepared for the day's work, He adjusted his tie perfectly to the neatly arranged collar of his expensive white sleeve shirt. He looked stunning.
While he sat in his office, he switched on the computer to begin the day's work, and a thought invaded his mind, interrupting him.
It was about the lady from the convenience store. Sebastian never knew why he interfered in the matter. But somehow, he felt bad for the lady.
He swung his chair to the left: tossing his pe slightly and signed deeply.
" She must be going through a hard time," He said, chuckling.
For the first time in Sebastian's life, he felt the need to sympathize with people.
He was the same as the mean lady at the store. But couldn't fathom why he stood up for the young lady.
"Hell! He spewed.
He hated her type!
She was not meticulous enough and looked somewhat disorganized and befuddled. She should get fired instantly without further hesitation.
Well, he can't deal with her this time around. She was a woman and he hated her more.
However, Sebastian Mallon considered the thought as intrusive and could never be obsessed with such. But the more he tried, the more the beautiful face of the young lady kept displaying in his mind.
"Damn it! " He scowled, hitting
his right hand on his desk.
" Let's get to work," he said, shifting his chair closer to his desk. His office was quite a sight to behold.
It was located on ' floor 42 ', the last floor.
Valley City was one the largest Real Estate companies in California. Sebastian had to work hard to ensure the company became the best in America.
He had inherited the company from his Grandfather when he was just twenty-three and the revenue has increased vastly.
By the side of his large well- well-furnished table was another computer where he watched everyone in the Company through the CCTV footage placed in different sectors of the company.
It was just 7: 30 am. Sebastian Mallon could see some of his employees racing against time.
This is what working in Valley City entails.
You must work like Sebastian Mallon, act like him, and even speak like him. A perfect boss he was indeed.
He readjusted his tie this time around again grinning. It was funny how they all strived to keep their jobs regardless of how he treated them.
He smiled!
He was indeed the boss!
Sebastian glared at his wristwatch as he typed continuously, reviewing some company documents.
His secretary has scheduled a meeting with all the small business companies struggling to skyrocket by 4 pm today in Zeus Hotel.
It was already 8:05 and his secretary— Claire Roderick was not yet in the office.
Suddenly, Claire Roderick surfaced.
She headed straight to her small office which was opposite her boss's but demarcated.
Sebastian Mallon could see his secretary shifting steadily to her office through the elite slide-glass door.
Back in Claire's office, she hastily dropped down her bag and raced to the CEO.
" My goodness! " she frowned. Claire knew she was in trouble.
Her boss was in the office before her.
She was supposed to read him his schedule for the day when he arrived but damn, he was in the office already.
DingDong!
Sebastian's office bell struck!
He didn't bother replying to the nonentity at the door.
" Good morning sir! " Claire Roderick greeted in a shaky voice as she approached her boss.
Sebastian did not reply to her. This time around, he brought out a white envelope and pushed it on the desk for his secretary.
" Here, sign the resignation letter immediately! " he stormed in a commanding tone.
Claire froze and almost slumped dead in his office.
" Sir… " Claire had wanted to say something but Sebastian immediately cut her off.
" Get a replacement for Claire Roderick immediately" Sebastian snapped on the phone and hung up.
Claire got fired for not being punctual. Hot tears poured down her face as she stood puzzled.
Sebastian Mallon was quick to fire any of his employees who could not measure up.
" Please hear me out sir, " Claire summoned the courage to speak.
No one dares talk back to Sebastian Mallon when he speaks. No one had power over his will.
He took his phone and dialed a number and in no less than eight minutes, the security was in his office.
" Take her out! " he stormed.
The security men bundled Claire and moved her out of the CEO's office.
At approximately 3 20 p.m. Sebastian left the office for his business meeting in the Zeus Hotel.
The journey took 45 minutes. If not or anything, Sebastian Mallon was the law himself. He makes them and executes them!
However, a lot of business owners were present for the summit.
The Hotel was elegant and fascinating.
As the driver dropped, Sebastian glared at his wristwatch. It was 4:00 p.m. on the dot.
As Sebastian approached the Hotel In his elegance; walking in a captivating step, some of the Ladies present for the summit couldn't help but feel lovesick.
" Woah! He is so handsome and cute" The Ladies giggled but Sebastian paid no attention.
He walked past with his men to the lobby immediately.
Some of the guests were seated already before Sebastian got in there.
As Sebastian sat, his eyes narrowed to a familiar figure and his heart fluttered.
" What? " Sebastian's heart razed.
