Seth woke me with a kiss to my shoulder long before the sun had breached the horizon. It was Harmony’s birthday, and he was leaving early to give she and I time alone. After six years of hoping and praying, I was finally claiming her as mine, forever. I rolled over and kissed him softly.
“Are you sure you’re okay with this?” I asked in the darkness.
He squeezed me against him. “Of course, I’m okay with it. After all the suffering you two endured, you deserve to have this moment alone.
