Elijah

Chapter Five

Music was blasting through my earphones as he raced through the busy street I stared out of my window when we finally stopped at a diner by the side of the road. He was furious. I looked at him as he walked into the diner probably asking for their toilet and then my bladder also got heavy I got out of the car and as I walked in there was a older man than us sitting there he gave me a wolf whistle. I turned around looking at him, he was a biker. Within seconds Elijah was there punching the older man. The man’s friends had to pull Elijah off of him and luckily for us James came in before they could beat Elijah up. 

“What were you thinking he is years older than you I should pull you from the race” James spoke as we walked to our cars and Elijah’s face turned to a sad one 

“He did not have the right to do to her what he did” Elijah spoke looking up at his father fire in his eyes

“What did he do Jennifer” mum asked walking to me and caressed my shoulders  I did the only thing I thought was right 

I lied  

“He grabbed my bum and would not let go”  Um said something the line of sorry sweetheart and hugged me tightly 

“Is this true?”  Elijah nodded licking his bottom lip the blood from his bruise that split open again because of the fight.

“Thank you for lying for me” 

“I did it for myself I want to see you racing tomorrow” 

He nodded “I will try my best just to make you happy” 

“Thank you for sticking up for me” 

“Anything for you sis” he spoke taking my hand and kissing my knuckles

Sis I'm not your sis I thought to myself and took my hand out of his taking the drinks mum packed for us handing him lemonade and taking water for myself still a whole hour to go.

His message indicator kept going on and his phone was lying in between us so quickly I looked at the phone

Lily bear; drive safe and good luck for tomorrow

Lily bear; I'm sorry that I accused you of cheating

Right there, right there I wanted to grab the phone and tell her he cheated twice just so she could leave and I could take him as my own I was jealous, it was boiling at my core he was mine how dare she take him away?

Lily bear; I love you and I miss you txt me soon

Oh that is it your going down I thought to myself grabbing his phone. Luckily for her he had a lock on his phone otherwise she would have heard from me.

He grabbed the phone from my hand “What the hell Jennifer” he spoke putting the phone on his lap.

“What the hell is that I'm jealous okay you win I want you she does not deserve you she doesn’t even believe you when you tell her a story and she just uses you for that thing in your pants” that's what I wanted to say but instead I got stuck with

“I’m sorry Lijah” that was the first time I called him by his airdrop nickname yes I still remembered. His body stiffened.

“Do not ever call me that” I wanted to ask why but instead pressed play on my phone.

When we arrived at the hotel it was passed nine James wanted us to sleep in separate rooms but mum told him to get one room with two beds so we could bond

After showering I walked into the bedroom and he was sat there on the bed in only his boxers his chest rose and fell softly as he spoke on the phone with her.

“I know baby I miss you more I love you too goodnight”

It felt like a dagger right through my heart why cheat on a girl you supposedly loved? I gathered all the courage I had.

“Why can’t I call you the name I did in the car?”

“Because I do not like it”

“That's not the reason”

“The reason is nobody ever called me that and it sounds so sexy coming out of your mouth so I had to stop you from saying it otherwise I would not be able to stop my actions is that answer good enough you want to know more?”

Yes tell me you don’t really love her tell me you do not want to be with her tell me we could be more than we are now tell me you want me like I do you

I shook my head no, walking to my double bed.

“Good night Elijah” I spoke getting under the silky blankets on my bed

“Good night Jennifer” he spoke before switching off the light.

I could not fall asleep that night so I thought of him and it seemed like he could not fall asleep as well he kept tossing and turning the whole night long and it broke my heart.
