Chapter 11Jorge Feldman led us deeper into the silver mine. Even though I wore a headlamp, I felt the darkness of the silver mine surrounding me. Dust floated in the air from the ceiling, and the tunnel we were walking through became narrower. I started to feel claustrophobic and wished I could turn around and leave. Up ahead, Maisa sneezed, and the sound echoed through the tunnel. She was walking next to Mr. Feldman at the front of the group. Mr. Cortes and Felicia followed right behind them, and I was in the rear. I kept my headlamp beam aimed toward the ceiling, because there was enough light in the tunnel to see the rest of the group without it.
