(The Next Day)
“Is that all?” Tiara asked as she pressed the elevator button and the doors shut, to which I nodded.
“It turns out it was one of his father’s guards who came to inform him that his father needed to see him urgently,” I explained.
“See, I told you, Kael doesn’t recognize you,” Tiara said , and I remembered last night when I mistakenly thought it was Kael who had shown up, but it was merely someone else.
“So, he agreed, and then?” Tiara questioned.
“According to the man who visited, his father wanted to discuss something about his fiancée and Ethan wanted to know if she had been found or if she was truly dead, but the man didn’t respond,” I said as I recalled the events from last night.

(Flash Back)
———-
“Why are you here?” Ethan asked as I turned to see who it was.
I expected it to be Kael, but I felt somewhat relieved it wasn’t him, or perhaps I was slightly let down.
“Your father needs to talk to you,” he said, making Ethan to step back a bit for me.
“Oh, now he’s tracking me?? How did you know I was here??” Ethan questioned.
“It’s serious, it’s about Skylar Jones,” he replied, and Ethan shot him a quick look, while I also turned my gaze toward the man.
“And what’s going on with her?”
The man glanced at me as if he were hesitant to reveal anything in front of me, and Ethan also looked at me before redirecting his attention back to the man.
“It’s fine, you can tell me. Did they find her or not?” Or she’s indeed dead?” he said but the man didn’t say anything
“Alright, you should step outside because, as you can see, I’m currently occupied,” he stated.
“But it’s urgent and…”
“I said to wait outside,” Ethan ordered, and the man disappeared from view.
I reclined in the chair, and Ethan also settled back, then he drummed his fingers on the table.
“Do you think they’ve finally located her?” I asked, playing along and he glanced at me but remained silent.
Deep down, I wanted to understand what this was all about; I knew Mr. Reynolds couldn’t have discovered anything about me, but what was it that he wanted to discuss with Ethan?
“Don't worry, even if they’ve found her, she doesn’t have anything on you,” I assured him, and he met my gaze.
“You agreed to my proposal, right? Then I’ll help you,” I said with a grin.

(Present Day)
———
“So, what’s your next step?” Tiara asked as we exited the elevator.
“I need to find out why Mr. Reynolds wanted to meet with Ethan,” I replied.
“Do you honestly think Ethan will share that with you?” Tiara questioned.
“He will,” I said. “Now, where’s the screening room?” I added.
“You’re really confident about this, aren’t you?” Tiara asked, finally guiding the way, and when we reached the screening room,
Two men were seated at a table with a lady sitting alone across from them. When the lady turned to face me, I wasn’t truly surprised, even though I should have been.
It was Scarlett.
As soon as she saw me, she broke into a wide smile, and at that moment, I took a seat between the two men, with Tiara positioned across from me, quietly observing.
“Have you begun yet?” I asked while flipping through the documents.
“Not yet,” one of the men replied, and I turned my attention to Scarlett.
“It states here that I’m your role model; is that correct?” I questioned, and she quickly nodded.
“Yes, that’s accurate. When I discovered you two years ago, I aspired to be like you. I have many of your pictures in my room and your designers’ works displayed, as you can see, I’m even wearing them,” she exclaimed with excitement, and I smirked slightly.
Who would’ve imagined that Scarlett, of all people, would end up in this position underneath me??
“Alright,” I said as I glanced at the document.
“It states here that you’re an only child,” I mentioned, and she nodded. “But…” I continued, flipping through the papers on the table, “there’s another document here that indicates you have a sister named Skylar.” I observed her immediately shaking her head.
“No, Skylar isn't my sister; she’s just someone we helped, but she betrayed us,” she explained, and I shut the file as I focused on her.
“She betrayed you??” I asked, and Scarlett confirmed with a downcast look.
“You see, our family was genuinely kind, and my father brought her into our home to care for her, and we treated her like family. However, she started acting out; she would insult us and wouldn’t help with anything around the house. She even pushed me off a swing when we were children because she was so envious of me, and I ended up in the hospital for weeks because of it,” she recounted sorrowfully, and I looked at her in disbelief.
Even though I distinctly remembered when we were young and Scarlett had pushed me off the swing, now she was twisting the narrative.
“And that’s not all; she began using hard drugs and acting more recklessly, yet we still loved and cared for her. My father wanted her to become engaged, but rather than simply declining, she ended up getting high one day and killed my father instead”Scarlett exclaimed and began crying as if she were seeking sympathy
“Oh, my apologies for that,” one of the men replied.
“I apologize, but I didn’t intend to trouble you with my unfortunate tale,” she stated, and I couldn’t help but scoff as I fixed my gaze on her.
"Congratulations, you have successfully completed the final interview," I announced, and her eyes lit up with excitement as she immediately stood and gave a slight bow.
"Oh my goodness, I can't thank you enough; I'm truly grateful," she replied.
"And that’s not all, you’ve also been promoted to level 3," I added, and she promptly placed her hands over her mouth, clearly taken aback, then bowed her head repeatedly.
“Ohhh thank you” she said and I smirked a little
I got up and exited, with Tiara hastily trailing behind me.
“Promotes to level 3??? What does that mean?? What just happened there??” she questioned as we continued walking.
“Did you catch everything she said?? She even fabricated a lie, and not only did you accept it, but you also promoted her???” Tiara said, make me to stop and look at her.
“They didn’t feel remorseful at all for what they did Tiara and I’ll make sure I bleed them out to the point they don’t want to live anymore “ I said and clenched my fist as I started walking again
“That doesn’t look like you wanna bleed her out because still, she….
“Let’s start, release it ” I said.
“Huh? Now?” Tiara asked, sounding surprised.
“Yes, do it now,” I said.
