Noahs P.O.V
I was surprised when I helped her take of her shirt and saw her torso. It was completely covered in bruises and cuts. I walked behind her and listened to her lungs and heart, making sure they hadn't been injured. Thank god everything sounded good, but I could tell that every breath she took hurt. I examined her and realized she had a two broken ribs. I went to the cabinets to get the medicine.
"I'll give you some pain-meds", I said to her, looking at the different jars of medicine. Who would do this to her? I thought to myself. Then it dawned on me. I wanted her to say it so I questioned:
"But you need to tell me who did this". I turned around to look at her. She had put her shirt back on.
"Who said it was a somebody who did this?", she answered. It made me really mad. Why couldn't she just ell me? Why did she want to avoid saying anything?
"I'm a f*****g doctor Leo", I started. I felt my voice get louder and angrier. But I wasn't really mad at her. I was med at the person who'd done this to her. Caused this pain to her.
"I know the difference between an accident and abuse!" I practically yelled. She looked at me with wide eyes. I pinched my nose in-between my eyes, trying to calm myself down.
"Is it that man your living with?", I asked, now with a pained expression instead. She didn't say anything. It looked like she had lost the power to speak, so instead she looked down at her hands. I knew I had guessed right.
"Come on", I said swiftly, grabbing my jacked and keys. She looked at me confused.
"Your coming with me to my house", I explained. She sat there for a second, before walking towards me. We walked out to my car and I opened the door for her. She gave me a quiet 'thank you' and I got in the drivers seat. The ride to my house was silent. She didn't say anything and nor did I. Although she had much explaining to do in my opinion.
When we got to my house, I caught her smile. She quickly put the smile away, hoping I didn't notice. I couldn't help but smile as well. She was so freaking cute! I parked and got out of the car. I almost ran to the other side to let her out. We walked into the house and I could see she was exhausted and in pain.
"You should relax in the couch while I make dinner and I'll give you your meds", I said, giving her a smile.
"Are you sure I can't help with anything?", she asked. I looked at her. Even though she was exhausted and in pain she wanted to help, to make sure she wasn't a burden.
"You would help if you relaxed in the couch", I answered, a little teasingly, and she gave out a small giggle. She walked over to the couch and I walked over to the kitchen, pouring a glass of water and taking out the medicine. I could se her from the kitchen turning the tv on. I walked over, handing her the pill and water.
"Thank you", she said and smiled. She swallowed the pill and I walked back to the kitchen. I just made a fast grilled cheese. When I was done, I headed to the living room to find her sleeping. She rested hear head on the couch, her mouth a little parted. I watched her, looking at her chest steady sinking and rising. She looked so innocent and at peace. I put the grilled cheese down on the table. Gently I picked her up, cradling her in my arms. She adjusted a little, but didn't wake up. I walked up the stairs, into the guest-room, where I gently laid her down on the bed. I put the comforter over her and moved a strand of hair, that had fell in front of her face, behind her ear. I stood there for awhile, adoring her, before walking out and going to bed.
I was standing in the kitchen, making french toast, when I heard footsteps walking down the stairs. She walked into he kitchen and sat down by the kitchen island.
"Good morning!", I told her and continued frying the toast.
"Good morning" she replied with a smile. I took the pills out of the cabinet and gave her one with a glass of water.
"Thank you", she replied and swallowed it. I smiled in response.
"How's the pain?", I asked. She looked at me for awhile before answering.
"Could've been worse", she answers, trying to give me a smile.
"You know you don't have to be tough all the time", I said looking at her with a frown.
"I know", she replied, looking down at her hands. "Honestly, it hurts like hell", she added giving a little chuckle. I looked at her and smiled.
The toast were done and I put them on the table. It was silent until we both were done eating. I started to pick some dishes of the table when she quickly got up and started helping me.
"I can do it", I said, smiling. Trying to tell her to sit back down. She just keeps helping, and I let her. When we were done we both sat down on the couch. When we both got comfortable I couldn't hold my question back anymore.
"So are you gonna tell me who abused you?"
