Noas P.O.V
As I sat on the bed I looked at the beautiful, tiny creature sitting in front of me. She was absolutely stunning! She had dark, curly hair that barely reached her shoulders and her eyes was this dark emerald shade of green. Her face was still wet from the tears, but she had stopped crying.
"I'm Noah", I said, scratching my neck. She looked terrified and her breathing was ragged. As I went to ask what her name was, I was interrupted.
"Why am I here?" she asked. I could tell she was trying to keep her voice from breaking. I mean, who wouldn't be terrified in a situation like this? Something had happened to her, which made her unconscious, and later she wakes up in an unknown room with a stranger, who basically could be kidnapping her.
"I saw you on the sidewalk as I was driving home from work. You looked pretty bad so I stopped to check on you, and you were unconscious. I decided the best thing I could do was to bring you to my place, where you at least would have a roof over your head" I said, hoping it would make sense to her. Not that it wasn't the truth, but I mean... what were the odds? I mean if I was her I would find it her to believe. I looked at her hand, which had a little blood on it from where the IV had been. I looked at her with a questioning frown.
"Why did you pull the IV out?", I asked. She looked at me suspiciously before answering.
"I didn't know what was in it", she said like the answer was obvious, which maybe it was. "For all I know you could've been drugging me", she continued and she was finally starting to relax. I stood up and started walking towards the closet and she relaxed her legs, laying them straight on the bed. When I took out another cannula to put in her other hand she immediately reacted.
"You are not putting another one in", she said and tensed her body once again. I was till looking in the cabinet, pulling out morphine and some other supplies. As I turned around to walk back to the bed she had put her knees back to her chest and her hole body, including her hands, were under the comforter. I could just see her head and her messy curls.
"Can you even do that?", she asked worriedly, meaning if I actually knew how to put an IV in. The end of my mouth turned up in a playful smirk.
"I'm a doctor so there's nothing to worry about", I said, reassuring her. She didn't move. I sat down on the right side of the bed again, waiting for her to give me her hand. She didn't give me her hand.
"You need it", I said, almost giving her a stern look. Still she didn't give me her hand. "It's just saline and I thought that I would put some morphine in it to help with the pain", I continued. I held the bottle of morphine infront of her so she could read it. She looked at me. She looked so broken like shattered glass, jet she was welcoming and felt soft. Slowly she adjusted her body, releasing the hand she hadn't had a cannula in. I gently took her hand. She had a dark bruise around her wrist, which made me feel angry and sad at the same time. Who had did this to her? I thought that this wasn't the time to ask about it, so instead I cleaned of the top of her hand with a alcohol-soaked cotton pad. As I put the cannula in, she flinched just as the needle entered and then quickly relaxed again. When I'd secured the cannula I put the IV in and stood up, putting some morphine in the IV-bag. She looked at me the entire time, but she didn't look scared. She looked curios. I couldn't help but smile. I hunched down a little, making out heads the same level.
"What's your name?", I asked curiously. She looked at me, skeptical. I thought I wasn't going to get a answer, until she opened her mouth.
"Leo", she said shyly. At this point I realized how cute she was. The name wasn't exactly what I expected, but as I tried to see her as a Leo I realized it fitted her. Really well actually.
"Are you ready to try to eat something?", I asked. Her body needed nutrients and this was the best option. She looked at me like she didn't know what to answer. "I'll take that as a yes", I continued when she didn't say anything and we started to make our way down to the kitchen.
