PropositionsThe door to Randa's rooms flew open to reveal Carthinal. He strode into her sitting room without waiting for an invitation, his eyes blazing.
'What do you think you are doing, getting betrothed to Wolnarb?' he thundered. 'How can you agree to this? Have you no thought for Almoro, let alone Fero?'
The Lady Randa rose at this unseemly intrusion and she stood haughtily and demanded to know by whose invitation Carthinal had entered her rooms.
'Don't come the Duchess with me, Randa,' replied the irate mage. 'You are not in the Palace at Hambara now, nor am I one of your servants. I am, or at least I thought I was, one of your friends yet you went ahead with this…this travesty without discussing it at all with any of us.'
