TWENTY-TWO Three days later, the stale air of the room I shared with Lysander in the inn was too heavy, and the tear-dampened sheets too uncomfortable to go unnoticed any longer. Rolling onto my back, I blinked up at the ceiling then pushed myself from bed to throw open the window, ducking my head under the jamb. A heavy fog blanketed the horizon and clung to the ground through the main street of the town, shrouding Azure Cove in mystery.
