New work new challenge

As my new workdays go by, I sit in that office mainly with Chuck to get offers prepared and calculated. Mike usually sits in the back of the office on his chair and watches videos. He seems to have a blast with that. As the weeks pass by, I get more comfortable around Chuck. Meanwhile we sit side by side and he shows me on paper how to do what kind of construction work. And more important for me: how to calculate it the right way. Weights and measurements such as coming from one cubic of excavation to how many tons - to know how many containers we need and how much the ton and whole amount for pricing is. It is 1,4 tons. In this case. So I do learn a lot about baggers and dirt. And I absolutely love it. I always wanted to ride one of these huge caterpillars. I even used to buy their annual calendars and cut out all the bagger pictures just to hang them all up along the walls.

Although we make a lot of counting, calculating and preparing the whole days and weeks, Chuck and I do not talk any private. It is all about the business. And meanwhile I do know, that he is not another employee of my boss’s‘ Mike company. Chuck rund his own little company. He is into gardening and landscaping. That is impressive. And I am really glad he is not one of the workers. But now I do understand where his Adonis-like body comes from. Apparently he does not use the gym or any other up-building or conditioning trainings. All he uses is his hard work with all the concrete, baggers and bricks. Darn, he is just too nicely build. Would I love to touch his ginormous arms.. It got a little bit warmer outside, and Chuck started to wear muscle shirts. At least I tell myself that this must be the reason for showing off all his decent and defined arms to the world. They make me really stare at him. But I think he has not noticed it so far. And Mike? I do not know. He must have noticed, that at the beginning, Chuck was sitting on the couch,..and now he sits right next to me.

I think it is just better and easier for what we work on. To sit closer.
