Anna didn't say anything for a few long seconds, only stared at the red streaks that marred Charlie's skin. Her mouth opened and closed several times, trying to form some type of words but failing over and over again. She felt Charlie's fingers brush some hair away from her face and tuck the strands behind her ear but her eyes still lingered on the wound that she'd created. "I'm so, so sorry," she breathed and felt the tears gather in her eyes. She blinked them back and lifted her body away from Charlie's. "I...I didn't," she began and turned her body away from his, hanging her legs over the side of the bed and resting her feet on the floor.
