The door clicks shut, the sound vibrating off the walls of the corridor amidst the muted chatter of the nurses and doctors hurrying from room to room. I sigh and run my hands over my face trying to alleviate the fatigue that courses through me. Beside the door, lay over three plastic chairs, Grayson twitches in his sleep. His mouth is parted slightly allowing the air to rush into his lungs, but he doesn’t make a sound. I watch him for a few moments. In sleep his face looks so much younger, with no worry or pressure resting on his shoulders. Did I overreact? Can I see things from his perspective? The answer is yes, I can. But I won’t be letting him off easily. What happened, can never happen again. For us to succeed in defeating Axel, we must combine our strengths and work together. I
